Despite many new tourist attractions emerge in the last decade and the global COVID-19 pandemic, The Island Of Gods is still numero uno for tourists.
The island of Bali has been carrying the status since decades. Public facilities for tourists like transportation and object of interests are still considered the best among other places in Indonesia.
Moreover, people of Bali has been used to this for generations. They know how to attract tourists coming to their area and maintain the condition. This circumstances offer benefit for locals, economically.
Although tourism world still struggling from the global pandemic, it would not be long for this island to have many visitors as usual in a few months. For this month in December many Indonesians already visit Bali to celebrate New Year’s eve.
Internal data from Online Travel Agent (OTA) shows that Bali is the most favorite tourism destination in December 2020. This makes local government attempts strict health protocols for them when they land in the island.
At Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, local authority applies strict health protocols for the visitors. This included CHSE : Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability around the location.
Data from Nataru station at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport shows that airplane passengers from domestic visitors keeps growing. Average daily passengers growth during Christmas and New Year holiday is 14 percent. From December 18, 2020 to December 26, 2020 passengers arrived at the airport reached 62.093 individuals while for departure the data recorded 54.317 passengers.
Since Bali tourism reopened in July 2020, the island keeps dominating travel destination search on Google. The regions in Bali that attract tourists the most are : Gianyar, Tabanan, Karangasem, Badung and Buleleng.
Gianyar known for the center of art and culture relief in Bali. Also popular for many recreational spots such as Bali Safari Park, Mason Elephant Park and Taman Nusa Bali.
Tabanan has lovely tourist sites like Tanah Lot, Blahmantung Waterfall, Angseri Hot Water site and Pura Taman Ayun (Taman Ayun Temple).
Meanwhile in Karangasem, the highest altitude region, you can visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall and Pura Besakih (Besakih Temple). Gunung Agung (Mount Agung) an active volcanoe in Bali also located in this area.
Badung region is famous for the giant Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) monument. So many tourists attractions here besides GWK, you can visit the lovely Nusa Dua and Pantai Kuta (Kuta Beach) also the Waterbom Bali.
In Buleleng you can find Air Sanih (Sanih Water) Gedong Kirtya, Lovina Beach and Gitgit Waterfall. The topographic of this region is variously different, from mountains, hills area to lower ground land.
Regarding Bali tourism, Tripadvisor, one of the biggest world travel platform in the world ranked Bali as the most popular destination in the world in 2021. Followed by London and Dubai in the second and third place.
Tripadvisor wrote that Bali is like living postcard, Indonesian paradise that feels like fantasy land. This means the rank climbs three spot from last year’s position where Bali was at the fourth place.
Before this, in August 2020 Tripadvisor already put Bali as the best tourist destination 2020 in Asia beating Phuket and Bangkok from Thailand. There are 25 locations for great traveling experience across Asia in the list according to Tripadvisor version with Thailand and Vietnam dominating the majority of tourist sites.
In the year 2021 we surely hope will see the return of tourism world not just for Bali but for all places in Indonesia for sure. The Island Of Gods is still numero uno for tourists and will always be.
