A survey conducted by whistle out last year reveals that most Americans believe big tech spying on them to gain knowledge for their internet behavior. This lead to disturbing privacy issue for the users.
The survey indicated that 85% of respondents believe at least one tech company is spying on their online activity. On top of the list is the big ‘F’ social media – Facebook. 68% of those surveyed believe that gigantic social media company is violating their privacy. TikTok is the second suspect with 53% percentage.
But not just that, from those who believe that big tech-companies are listening, 80% believe that these companies are listening to their phone conversations. Again, the respondents suspect Facebook and TikTok are the major actors for this activity.
